Canon i960 users?

Anyone here have a Canon i960?

I just got this printer and it is becoming increasingly evident that something is wrong with the driver with respect to its operation using ColorSync color management. The symptom is washed out prints, most notable is the loss of highlight details, and have a distinct blue to purple color shift.

The problem does NOT seem to affect Apple's own applications. Preview, iPhoto and TextEdit all seem to be doing the Right Thing and output is very good, within the limits of a vendor supplied canned profile. However, a variety of third party applications (iView Media Pro 2, Portraits & Prints, Photoshop 7 so far) exhibit the above symptoms. Actually, Photoshop curiously only shows the washed out symptom and the blues are right on target. (And photoshop prints fine if IT does the color conversion and color management is disabled in the driver options.)

I just got the printer, post Panther upgrade, but I booted in to Jaguar to verify that the same problems exists there.
