I'm pretty sure that a luminance of 120 cd/m^2 is suggested, not because
it's the best, but because it's _possible_ to achieve with current TFT's.
The luminance _should_ be equivalent to the illumance of the proof, so
that the lightness will be the same for both. This means that an
illumance of 2000 lux will need a luminance higher than 120 cd/m^2
(something in the range of 600 cd/m^2).
