Do the files end with .icc? After you rename them to end with .icc,

run Profile First Aid...do they show up?
Yes, the files do end up with ".icc".
OK. After running ProfileFirst Aid on my custom ICC profiles (and clicking
Repair) I got the message:
Tag 'CIED': Text contains invalid characters. Fixed.
Tag 'desc': Description tag has a bad Macintosh string. Fixed.
I wonder what thow two have got to do with making the files non-visible?
Because, after the Repair utility now the ColorSync System Preferences sees
them. The particular profile I couldn't see was created with 4.1.5 of
ProfileMakerPro on WindowsXP. It was copied over on a network from the PC
through DAVE. I must have done the same procedure in the past 1000 times
never without this problem?
I'll try restoring some custom profiles I have on my backup to see whether
ColorSync still sees them and let you know.
This is mostly odd?
Regards and thank you for your help,
