Dear Listmembers,
(sorry to be off topic, but have gotten no response to my emails from GM,
it's been a couple weeks now, and there seem to be a lot of GM users here)
Has anyone had success reading the ECI2002 CMYK target with ProfileMaker 4.x
driving an EyeOne?
After a lot of success using my EyeOne Pro & PM4.1.5 with RGB targets and
the TC3.5 CMYK one, I am having strange problems with this combination.
Recently I have had PM fail to properly save the target measurement data 4
out of 6 times.
The saved files aren't corrupted, per se, but trigger errors from PM when I
try to re-load them. Dumping the saved data files into Excel, I see the bad
ones are not only truncated, but some header info (e.g., number of rows)
dropped, also.
A couple of things have me really stumped about this. One, it's intermittent
- twice the data was saved "intact", so it's not just user error/wrong
tdf/etc. Even weirder, ProfileMaker proceeded to create a valid profile from
one session, but when I tried to load the saved data later to make a
variation, PM gave error msg about wrong number of target patches. (PM saves
the measurement data *before* the profile creation step, of course)
I have replicated this on 2 different CPUs (both Mac OS 10.2.8), with 2
different ProfileMaker copies, each with a different EyeOne. For good
measure, one of the targets was read with Measure Tool - same kind of
problem with saved data. So it doesn't seem to be just a matter of my
PowerBook or its hard disk.
Given the above, it seems unlikely I'm the only one experiencing this.
Is no one else reading this target with an EyeOne?
Again, sorry to be OT, but am frustrated GM seems more oriented toward v.5
anticipation than v.4 issues.
Thanks for any responses (off list, if that's more appropriate).
John
