Colormanaging duotones

  • Subject: Colormanaging duotones

Here's a subject I last looked into two years ago, at the time there were
no methods to solve the problem. We're a bit further in time now,
software may have progressed, so I thought I'd give it a renewed try:

Is there a way to use duotones in a colormanaged environment? Could
two-channel profiles be built somehow for accurate previewing and
proofing in Photoshop?

While working with color has become so much easier with CM, it bugs me
immensely that duotones still have to be made with that oldfashioned
trial and error voodoo stuff... All the more so because in our work (art
photography) duotones are needed just as much as color.

Thanks, Wim
