In that position I'd be frustrated too.
I was more interested in how these displays work in a color-critical production
environment. Surely there are by now users out there who can offer comments?
I spoke with a local AppleStore voice today who assured me they had both the display and
the NVIDIA 6800 GT DDL display card kit in stock. The 6800 GT ULTRA DDL was not yet
available though.
Same thing on the Apple Store (US) website: same day ship for the US $499 card kit, 3-5
weeks for the $599 ULTRA card kit. Both cards can drive two 30" displays.
