Jeff,
in 720x 720 a 13x19 prints in 15 min here, with same media setting.
Both from Mac and PC...
What is the 1280 driver hack you mention?
I'm going to 4000s, too, but I'm thinking in ScanVec Amiable Photoprint
RIP to drive it...
I tried a demo of thi rip with the 1270s, not true PostScript driver,
it prints thru the OS RGB driver, but it is very productive, and the
color management is simple as PressReady, and the plus a linearization
feature...
Main concern is about the rendering printing thru a real Postscript
driver, would it be fine like the Epson microweave? Or a bunch of ugly
coarse dots like some other RIPs in market?
Until now, nobody in the list seems to know this RIP... Strange...

Agreed, I use Pressready with the 1280 driver hack. Glossy film media
setting. Only problem is 1270-90 are soooo slow. 45 min for a 13x19".
You
may be able to find an old copy of Adobe Pressready for next to
nothing.
Stepping up to a 4000 w/colorburst soon.
