Our Epson 9600 leaves a line on the print of lesser density
after a change of ink cartridge as one is empty mid print.
We are using a mac G4 450 OS10.2.8 - imageprint 6.
Epson support says it should not do this - as does the manual.
ImagePrint says that it always happens !
I wonder what happens with the ImagePrint Spooler, when the printer
stops - if there is data loss -
if it continues to broadcast data. Also it seems that when ink is put
down there is an overlap and
if there is a pause then the previous ink has a chance to dry more
before the next ink hits the paper.
Otherwise a bubble in the ink-line from changing cartridge should not
appear exactly at the point where it stopped....
As we are making 8-10ft long prints that are quite dark and it's hard
to anticipate to have
enough ink in the machine to be sure not to run out, before the print
is finished and it increases the expense. Since there are many 9600
users on this board I thought I'd ask what your experience is....
If the Epson 9600 stops and requests more ink mid-print do you get a
line across as a result ?
Thank you beforehand.
