Are any modern monitors able to display the AdobeRGB color space?
I thought I would try it with a Dell 2000 LCD display, but when I profiled it with the ColorVision Spyder2 I realized it would never make it as the x,y values of the monitor for Red-Green-Blue were 0.62, 0.33; 0.27, 0.58; 0.14, 0.10
I take this to mean the monitor falls just short of being able to display the full sRGB space in the green and blue ends, so I should stick with targeting the sRGB color space with this monitor.
Supposedly the Eizo 22.3” and the LaCie 321 LCD screens both (same LCD screen module) display most of Adobe rgb space. I have seen the new Eizo and confirm that it does show blues/cyans never before seen on a LCD.
