Hi Roberto,
I think I may have just the product for you. I have a few months of testing on this paper under my belt, I just have not seen the market demanding Gloss Proofs anymore. I have been really concentrating on semi-matte, Satin, and press stock simulation papers.
Anyhow the Gloss paper that I have tested, (not brought to market yet) reduces the angle deflection and bronzing caused by Epson UC inks. I have yet to see any inkjet paper like this maintain similar gloss over the white (non image area) to image area with UC inks.
Here are a few spec.
L*97.05 a*0.81 b*-1.51
Gloss 52@60Degres
190 or 220gm
Works with Thermal and Piezo, both dye, pigment and UC.
K-point on 9600uc w/Best 5.01 Prem. was around 8 or 9 if I recall correctly. Other CM SW may help you get lower.
Again, i am not sure if the proofing market demands this kind of paper anymore? I did have this paper at the GATF Color Conference a few weeks ago. If anyone saw it there please chime in. If so feel free to contact me offline for more details.
Thanks,

These [Epson's own] are UltraChrome inks, which work with a wide range of media; what limitations are you referring to that make you think they are terribly limited?
Hey CD, which wide range? please name one good glossy proofing paper at reasonable price (under $2 per 13"x19" sheet 165g or heavier) that works correctly in the Epson 4000, with quick color stability and deep shadows and good gamut and not too much optical brightener.
For dye inks (like Canon W2200's) there are many that fit this criteria!
All the proofing papers I used to deal with – Perfect Proof, Oris, EFI and Imation – do not work with the Epson 4000 Ultrachromes; well, some of the semimattes do, but none of the Glossy ones. Really, in some of this Glossy papers the prints from the 4000 look like newsprint!!
To my understanding, the inks in the 4000 are not exactly the same generation of Ultrachrome as in the 7600, 9600 and 2200; but I might be mistaken here. However I did make some tests of the 2200 in Perfect Proof semimatte, and they came out perfect, while the same media in the 4000 worked but black point came out too high. Which is also the case of Dupont's XP paper; that is the only non-epson glossy stock I've found to work (well, didn't try Pictorico or Kodak), but the black point comes out so light that it does not qualify for good proofing.
