Adjust Contrast> Universal Access prefs....... must have been a misdirected keyboard command.

I just called my friend with the ill computer and he was still moving everything to the new user ID. I mentioned the suggestions that everyone was kind to send and it was the Universal Access adjust contrast.

Thanks and happy holidays!

I'm troubleshooting a friends G4 with the latest OS 10.3.6(? could be

bad profile, the contrast immediately is boosted and colors overly
saturated

Check the "Enhance Contrast" setting in the System Preferences > Universal Access pane.
