For accurate spot color matches you need to print to the RIP separated and
use LAB recipes to accurately reproduce PMS colors. You can start using the
LAB recipes that Pantone specifies or you can override and use custom
recipes.

BestColor ScreenProof will reproduce a halftone simulated proof using 1-bit
TIFF's from an image/platesetter RIP but it will also create stochastic
screened proofs from any postscript, PDF, and most other desktop formats.
In other words, ScreenProof has all of the features of the ColorProof
product.
