The placement error could effectively add noise and have a tendency to
blend any "banding" (streaking) due to a nozzle outage, or
misalignment.
Higher resolutions reduce banding because more different nozzles are
used to print each row, and slight size differences between nozzles
get balanced out somewhat. However, there are also more opportunities
for slight placement errors.
