I'm not sure I understand what you mean Robert? If you are referring to
reliable end user characterisation of HiFi ink configurations that was
achieved some time ago.

1.5 picolitre dots would be getting very close to being indiscernible by
the eye. That ought to go a very long way to compensating for the lack
of light inks. After all that's the reason light inks were introduced,
to reduce the apparent visual dottiness produced by *big* dark dots in
the highlights.
