In terms of testing, the way a person would test such a thing would be to
measure a reference source using a reference instrument (probably a
spectro-radiometer). Then, a number of readings would be collected using a
testing device (the MonacoOPTIX XR in this case). From that data, a person
could compute device deviation from the reference - as well as the
instrument agreement from measurement to measurement.

These are not procedures that the average user could likely perform, so it
seemed kind of moot to mention them - "Regular Joes like yourself" probably
don't have a spectro-radiometer lying around the house, nor do they
typically have a controlled test environment to conduct procedures in. If
you like, you could make a few profiles for yourself and simply evaluate the
difference between the Monaco package and whatever else you like. Keep in
mind though that evaluating profiles and evaluating instrument accuracy are
2 different things and my posting is probably long enough as it is.
Regarding instrument accuracy - the specs are the specs.

You can find our return policy at:

Plenty of resellers have them too.

Best regards,
Marc
