George, I agree the info is important - to us. I usually use the file
browser in PS CS or iView MediaPro. The latter is the fastest way I've found -
just drop a file/folder (or nested folder) onto the iView window - all the file
info is available, including the embedded profile.

The Applescripts to show profile info, etc. are painfully slow on my system -
not sure why. It would be nice if this info was in Get Info, but I wouldn't
hold my breath. Not a priority for the majority of users.

I use iView to make batch profile changes to files, too - e.g., adding
scanner profiles to raw scans. You can get a (30 day?) demo app from
http://www.iview-multimedia.com. Nice app, if you need the other features. (I have no
vested interest...)
