PressReady Color Problems

  • Subject: PressReady Color Problems

I've been struggling with this for a month or two. PressReady is suddenly
useless. I usually make PDFs for client presentation out of Quark 4.11.
Color management is turned on, with US Sheetfeed Coated 2 profile selected
in CMYK color preferences. Display correction is on and separation selected.
This is the profile used for CMYK export in Photoshop as well. I would use
this profile in Create Adobe PDF in the printer dialogue in when making PDFs
from Quark with PressReady. With this setup, I had good results for about a
year and half.
Suddenly all the PressReady PDFs are WAY off in color. I have not changed
anything that I could think of that would effect this. I have discarded all
prefs and reinstalled PressReady twice without helping. I'm having the same
color problems in all my applications whenever I use PressReady. Can anyone
help? I'm reduced to making EPSs in Quark and rasterizing them in Photoshop
to make Photoshop PDFs, very unsatisfactory, but the only way I can get a
color match.
I'm on OS 9.1, using AdobePS 8.8. The Adobe print color prefs are also set
to US Sheetfeed Coated 2.
