Best Screen Proof Rip and Roland 8 Color Printer

Greetings,

Anyone have any experiences they can (will) share using the Best Screen Proof Rip? And, experiences using the Rip (or any Rip) with the Roland FJ500 8 color inkjet printer. Or any experiences with the FJ500 and accurate PMS color proofs.

It appears that most color RIPs that can create screened proofs do so by using the file (1 bit tiff, etc) from a RIP upstream. If I also want to reach the Roland via a color RIP from desktop applications does anybody know if will I need a second color RIP or is there a color RIP available that can serve both requirements?

I am a Flexo printer that is still trying to figure out a way to color manage my images and express as many PMS colors as can be expressed on a digital proof.

Thanks in advance to all than respond.

-Bill-
