By extension it makes sense the R800 should be Epson's candidate
for losing LcLm, with its 1.5 picoliter droplet size. Are the light
inks even still necessary at this size? Should be exciting when
this technology makes the jump to the 7/9k series machines.
1.5 pl cyan and magenta drops are roughly equivalent to 4-5 pl light
cyan and magenta drops. The actual printing quality is probably a bit
better than that, due to the smaller black drops available, which
6-color printers don't have. My guess is that the light inks really
aren't necessary at this point.
