Two likely sequences:

1) Their RIP expects incoming files to be using a working space and will run
the Lambda's output profile on any and all files it gets. Thus, your file
will get double profiled, something you don't want.

2) A human will open your file and notice the tag and send it unchanged to
their Lambda print queue. It will not be ripped because it's already
rasterized. (Unless your Photoshop file contains vector EPS elements.) The
operator will simply save your Photoshop file as a flat TIFF and it will be
imaged.

Realize the Lambda does not use Adobe Photoshop print drivers from the
application and therefor is not as smart or dynamic as you might think. The
RIPS use profile attributes given by a human for what is EXPECTED in the
work stream. In a good shop, all elements would be "normalized" into a given
work space, ColorMatch RGB and CMYK for instance, then converted to the
Lambda or any other output device in the shop.

Your notion of using your own output profile is unusual, to be sure. Most
RIPS run their own output profile for a given device and don't expect a file
already in that space. If so, one would need to manually turn off the usual
output profile.

I would recommend you stick with your provider's original Lambda profile to
soft proof and use it to tweak your file as intended to avoid another layer
of complexity.

I hope this helps,
