Which applications support printing V4 ICC profiles?
This tends to be up to the CMM rather than the app. Adobe products from Photoshop 7 on should all support v4 profiles and any apps that use Mac OS X's ColorSync should support them as well. On the Windows side it's a murkier scene as ICM does not (and probably will not) support v4 profiles. For other apps on both platforms it depends on what CMM they use.

For those with the ear of Microsoft, please give them a hard time about this. With whatever flaws the ICC spec/organization may have, abandoning the ICC (Microsoft no longer belongs) is not going to help us in the industry. They need to get back to the table and help the spec and the industry.

The v4 spec does not have any additional rendering intents in print profiles. The v2 spec already allowed all 3 (4) intents in both directions and newer versions of Photoshop would use them. The v4 spec does have additional intents in input (scanner/camera) profiles, hopefully allowing the generation and use of perceptual intents.
