Hello, all,
I'm in need of some real help and you are the only ones who can give
it.
There are new custom ICC profiles for the Epson 2200. I've installed
those on a Powerbook G4. The info from Epson says to calibrate to
Gamma 2.2 and 6500 Kelvin whether for a Mac or PC monitor. Using the
Macbeth EyeOne calibrator, I did just that and it looks horrid.
The profiles are predicated on using the profile in Photoshop's Print
with Preview dialog, selecting No Color Adjustment in the Epson print
driver's Color Management settings, the use of Epson media and
selecting the correct Media Type in the driver. Display gamma will have
nothing to do with your results.
Should I go back to 1.8 and native whitepoint? Will that mess up the
profiles that Mr. Atkinson has so generously provided?
FWIW, as far as I know, these profiles weren't built by Bill Atkinson,
but by Eddie Murphy (no kidding) at Epson USA.
