Firstly, make sure that your Minitor is properly calibrated like Roger
says...
In theory, you should have your scaner profile (not sRGB neither AdobeRGB)
and from there convert to sRGB or Adobe..
Like this way, you convert the RGB values of your scanner to Lab using your
scaner profile, and after that this Lab values to RGB... bear in mind that
exist a third conversion, the RGB values of the image to Lab, and from
there to RGB of your monitor prfile...
Therefore, the color space of AdobeRGB is bigger than sRGB, and depending
of your final device is convenient to use one or other....
And the most inportant... like Roger says, PHOTOSHOP ALWAYS works with CM.
Be carefully with "don't color manage" option... is really a catch...
