I have checked the settings and they are identical between the two
versions of Photoshop. Is there a good way to analytically test for the
differences in the CMM output? I converted a test image to my printer
profile using the two versions. Then I compared them using two layers
and the difference blend mode. The problem is that it impossible to see
any difference using this blend mode because the result is too dark.
Anyone know how to show the difference between two images with something
that will stand out like the out of gamut warning color?

Apply Image>Substract>Offset 128 shows identical pixels as neutral 128,128,128 gray. You can exaggerate the differences using Levels, and pulling in the black and white input sliders.
