Could someone guide me to how i should do some "generic" CMYK proofing
using an epson 9600 with utrachrome inks to simulate SWOP 4/c printing,
Please.
I'm familiar with profiles and CM and I have excellent results making
"fine art" prints etc.
What I'd like to do is have a system that will give me a realistic
proof to deliver to clients along with my cm digital files from digital
cameras and/or scans that represent what can reasonably be expected
from reproduction.
We have no way of knowing who or how the files will be reproduced, but
most often it will be magazine reproduction - so SWOP. the file would
be delivered as CMYK with an embedded US web coated swop v2 profile.
What paper should I use ?
I use ImagePrint as a rip and would have the paper profiled.
Should there be some limitation or procedure to reflect the use of 4
color reproduction (compared to inkjets with 6-78 inks) and a screen ?
Thank you beforehand - and although most of the time I lurk, I am very
appreciative of all the knowledge you guys share. Thank you.
