Jonathan,
You might want to consider a revolutionary option for the Epson 9600.
Absolute Proof Extrachrome.
We have just launched Pigment Extrachrome® inks for the Epson 4000, 7600 and
the 9600.
These inks replace the LC and the LM inks on the Epson printers and expand
the colorgamut of these devices.
This is of very high value to Photographers, for Art Reproduction, the
Packaging and Flexo sectors and for printers and designers that use the
Pantone standard.
In the IPA proofing roundup earlier this year 27 solutions attempted to
match 11 Pantone colors. Some of the most common and the most expensive
solutions on the market participated in this roundup. 7 of these solutions
did not match a single color below DeltaE 3.
(For more information contact IPA @ www.ipa.org )
The average Delta E of all the solutions (some did better than others) was
9.6.
Our Delta E of these same colors is 1.94 which is lower Delta E than any of
the competing solutions.
You can download our measurements of the whole Pantone library and the Delta
E difference between the Pantone library and our proofing results.
We can match 1036 of the 1109 Pantone colors below 3 Delta E.
Over 93% of the 1109 Pantone colors are matched.

Our solution is capable of matching the Pantone colors to a standard not
seen before.
AbsoluteProof Extrachrome does proof Halftone dot as well and shows trapping
and overprinting of Pantone and other colors.
Processes One bit Halftone files from imagesetter rips.
PostScript from Design applications such as Freehand and Quark.
Outputs colormanaged Tiff and PDF files.
Drives all Epson, HP, Roland and most Canon wide format devices.
AbsoluteProof is more affordable and more capable than any other halftone
proofing solution for InkJet Printers on the market.
It runs on Mac OSX and is ICC compliant, unlike some solutions mentioned
here.
Our team is mainly prepress specialists and we have consulted with the
industry to identify and solve significant problems that the industry has
had to live with from day one.
PS. We also launched the worlds first Hexachrome ICC based InkJet proofing
solution in 2002.
Colorful regards,
Hugo Kristinsson
