Is it true, by virtue of the formula used to compute the Color Rendering
Index, CRI, that the higher the value, close to 100, the more the spectral
curve of the source resembles that of the target illuminant? That's one way
I tended to interpret the CRI number this but I know it doesn't quite mean
this. For a number of years, for example, Solux has boasted a CRI of 100 for
its 4700 bulb.
