I just received Monaco Profiler 4.7. Haven't had a chance to try it out much yet. I know X-rite just came out (almost) with the DTP 70 but I was really, really hoping for support of the ICColor...really. No such luck :-(
Yup, that be real nice. Let’s lobby for it. Especially since 4.7 is SIGNIFICANTLY a better product (X-Rite say they updated/re-wrote the color engine). The output profiles are superb. Blues that shifted to cyan/magenta in the past are spot on and smooth as a baby’s behind. In the few tests I’ve done, this product is producing RGB output profiles (haven’t tested CMYK) that rival the best of any product I’ve tested thus far and with less patches. You want this update!

And more testimony on this product is that I recently profiled a Spectrum (CMYK) and a Lambda (RGB) at the same site that was having problems with their profiles. In both cases the v4.7 produced better out of the box CMYK and RGB profiles. The Lambda prints had cyanish, greenish yellows as a result from earlier made profiles. V4.7 fixed that problem. Needless to say, the client was very happy how the Monaco product worked for both of their CMYK and RGB workflows. I am not saying that other products are not useful. But it is clear that Monaco v4.7 does raise the bar on color reproduction with ICC profiles.
