[OT] Export EPS from Illustrator is incompatible with ColorSync?

For the life of me, I can't find any option to embed an ICC profile when
saving as EPS from Illustrator CS? I suspect Illustrator never offered such
an option in the past. But this is for a test I'm preparing for an Apogee X
system. The EPS is to be placed in Quark v6. Then the whole thing will be
printed to PostScript with QuarkCMS off. We want to assess whether an Apogee
X RIP can color manage this type of data as well as it can manage data
coming in RGB, Lab and CMYK from Photoshop and PDF.
