I liked the Spectrocam software a lot, many features that should come "native" with other devices. Auto calcs for dot gain, density, etc..
Their monitor profiling, at least when I tried it, was not worth taking seriously, very rudimentary compared to the "real deal".
But good monitor calibration apps are available that do support it, and I had good results that way, so I don't believe the problem is the device.

...Thanks, I
think I'll see about upgrading my own SpectroCam. And in that case I can still recommend it for use with Profiler Pro (and other software). I always found their own software to be interesting and fun, with the exception of the monitor profiling feature. I still get a much better monitor profile with a colorimeter, although I'm not altogether sure why that "should" be the case if the spectro has enough bands and is accurate. But it does seem as though the phosphor targeted bandwidth of a colorimeter does a better job.
