Still, no pigment-based inks from Canon :(
I love my i960 and would have liked an ultrachrome-type of printer from
Canon -- I thought that the i9900 *was* pigment-based -- but, they say
they're not interested in offering pigment type printers in consumer
markets. I saw the new W6220 24" printer locally which *is* based on pigment
inks but I'm sure about the quality of its construction -- a lot of
plastic... I might stay with good ole 7600 but, I'd really like to compare
head to head Canon's pigment set to Epson's Ultrachrome. Sorry if this is
getting OT.

How about Gimp Print itself?
Alas, no. We don't have an active maintainer for the Canon driver, so
our support there is lagging.
