Doesn't black point compensation depend on the kind of monitor profile
installed? Matrix/TRC profile can't just be compensated for, AFAIK. The
color is either in gamut or out of gamut (and becomes clipped). 3D Lut
profile are candidate for black point compensation.
But, if you don't trigger ProofSetup mode, I was under the impression that
the display was relcol to the screen with no kinds of black point
cempensation on the part of Photoshop.
