Maybe someone can shed some light on the creation of 35mm reference files (how the targets are measured). Is the aperture of the measuring device fine enough to measure the patches of a 35mm, or is the measurement done on a larger format version of the same film type? Just wondering because the Kodachrome target is only available in 35mm format with batch reference data, so unless a larger format target of this type is measured, they must be measuring the 35mm, right?  I know in the case of the HCT that the 35mm targets are actually cut from a single 8x10 sheet and a single reference file created for all, but is I‘m not sure how the measurement is done.
