Hi Joseph, all,
Yes, I do beleive that DVLPs (DeviceLinkProfiles) built from your Device profiles should give you matching colors within the gamut limitations of the output process.
This is conditionned by having:
- good device profiles
- a good DVLP
This is what I would suggest:
1- Use Alwan ColorPursuit to assess the quality of the Device to Device transformation and see numerically if the output process can reproduce your input process colors
2- Use Alwan LinkProfiler or ask us to provide you free of charge with a DVLP made out of your device profiles
3- Use Alwan ColorPursuit to assess the quality of the DVLP transformation and see numerically if there is an improvement in the color matching
4- Use Alwan DVLP Photoshop plug-ins to apply your DVLP to images in Photoshop
or
4'- Use this DVLP in a RIP or in a color server that supports DVLPs. Alwan CMYK Optimizer is a software that can do that very well for you.
Your service provider (Chromix) can also suggest alternative software to do the above described steps.
The above mentionned software can be found on : www.alwancolor.com
I hope this helps and doesn't sound like an ad,
Kind Regards,
