Hi
To answer some of the questions I asked... :-)
I downloaded the synthesised SG chart (thanks) and converted it to ProPhoto
to get new RGB values.
I also used MeasureTool with my Eye One to measure the actual SG chart I've
got, saved it as Lab values and converted these to a tiff file in ColorLab.
I then converted this to ProPhoto, so I've got the synthesised and actual
RGB values to look at. I noted that ColorLab would crash on saving under
10.4.2, but worked fine on my trusty old MacOS 9.1 9600 - I also discovered
the colour mangling problem :-)
So I've now got a new version of the script to try out (well two actually,
one with the synthesised values and one with the measured)
I suppose all I need do now is see how well it all works, but it looks as if
a spell of paying work is about to get in the way ;-)
Thanks to everyone for help, both on and off list
bye for now
Keith Cooper
