Hey Richard,
I haven't had any problems with calibrating & profiling an LCD on one
mac and them connecting the same LCD to another mac and loading the
profile created for it. The measurement data collected when
calibrating the LCD is built into the profile's "vcgt" and is
downloaded from the profile into the Mac’s video card’s CLUT every
time we load the profile. So, as long as you load the profile created
for that display you should be fine.
gee, did any of that make sense or did i explain it incorrectly?

Marco,
Maybe I should explained how our eizos are used. As i mentioned
before, we have 12 eizos - CG19s and CG21s. Aside from Retouching,
Prepress, Digital Photography and Studio Rental we also offer
Equipment Rental to clients who are shooting digitally either in-
house or on location. Every 2 weeks - on rotation - the eizos are
calibrated and profiled 2 displays per station. But not always
with the same G5.
Dear Vanita
I am most surprised you do not keep the same display with the
computer you used to calibrate and profile it, as in our experience
this is necessary for good results. Different video cards of the
same model always seem to produce different results for us at any
rate.
Cheers
Richard
