that's probably why i haven't had any issues. all of our G5s have the same video cards. vanita In a message dated 8/11/05 9:11:30 AM, email@hidden writes: I haven't had any problems with calibrating & profiling an LCD on one mac and them connecting the same LCD to another mac and loading the profile created for it. The measurement data collected when calibrating the LCD is built into the profile's "vcgt" and is downloaded from the profile into the Mac’s video card’s CLUT every time we load the profile. So, as long as you load the profile created for that display you should be fine. gee, did any of that make sense or did i explain it incorrectly? Different videocards may respond differently to the VCGT tag curves, so ideally you would calibrate twice, once from each computer. The more similar the computers/videocards, the less of an issue this is. C. David Tobie Product Technology Manager ColorVision, Inc. email@hidden www.colorvision.com
