Hi List,
In my small business making profiles I get to see a lot of i1 TC9.18 test
charts. Most are what I call well-formed but occassionally I see anomolies
including dappled colour patches and what I can best describe as what looks
like colour trapping problems from a printing press, ie, each (or many)
patches have a thin border of a lighter or darker colour.
I have successfully diagnosed clogged printing heads from seeing the dappled
colour patches (despite my recommendations that they do a head alignment
check and a head clean before producing the colour chart). I'm wondering if
the thin border of colour reliably implies a head alignment problem or if
its just what happens due to the variability due to mechanical tolerances
and doesn't really effect photo output.
Cheers,
Eric Perlberg
