I make a decision based upon Adobe Camera RAWs Histogram and the scene
itself. If I see saturation clipping in ACR, I toggle to ProPhoto RGB. If
not and it falls within Adobe RGB (1998), I select that. I guess if the
scene fell within sRGB gamut, I'd pick that (I'm not shooting many gray
cards <g>). It's all getting encoded in 16-bit.
