try converting RGB 255,255,255 to the profile in Photoshop using percep, sat and rel col and see if you get anything other than 0,0,0,0. If you do, then you have a real scum dot in the profile. If not then the dot is appearing as a result of the RIP doing something odd that might be triggered by a difference in the Monaco profile but is not likely the profile's fault.
always test in PS first, then try things in RIP. I don't trust most RIPs as far as I can throw them...
