Working with labs

Hi Folks.

How do I get decent output from a third party ? I asked a local lab
(Epson 7600) to gie me their profile, and they say "sRGB". So, I can
print a testchart, and "profile" their printer, but in the end I must
give them a file tagged as sRGB which they will print according to
their usual procedure.

I am thinking of using the following steps:
1. Have them print testchart. Create my own profile "X" with my
i1Match software.
2. Take my file, in ProRGB. Convert to X using my favorite intent (eg.
relative).
3. Tag the file (Assign) as sRGB and hand it to them.

Feel free to point out the error of my ways ! I cannot change their
workflow, this is France.

Edmund
