Ok Ive now tried this with a ColorChecker 24 . Ive two copies in iPhoto,
both tagged with sRGB. I crop one in iPhoto and click done.
Ive set to open images in Photoshop. The cropped one now has embedded
Generic RGB and the other still sRGB. The Generic RGB image is
Washed out in comparison with the other.
This seems to happen when using any editing tool that writes back to the
file.
If someone tells me that this is good practise
I will eat this ColorChecker.

Apple, with all the talented teams of software developers you have at your
disposal, how can you go to all the trouble of building in really good
features into your software but blatantly ignoring or not testing the
software for fundamental flaws? I mean we are at version 5 now.
How much would it take to put a ColorSync tab in iPhotos preferences?

Now I know this happens I will continue to use iPhoto as I like it as an
image database. But don't do any changes in iPhoto otherwise you may as well
As well have put your CF cards through the mincer first.

Regards,

Pete
