Title: Stability of Epson 4000 Proofing Device
In response to the discussions on quality control on Epson Proofing Devices, I can provide some recent data I have measured.
For this test I used an EPSON STYLUS PRO 4000, Standard Epson Ultrachrome inks, Felix Schoeller semi matt roll paper, GretagMacbeth Spectroscan.
Numbers shown are Average DE (Max DE)
Repeatability of measuring instrument
A single ECI 2002 target was measured twice on a GretagMacbeth SpectroScan 0.09 (0.33)
Immediate repeatability of Epson Stylus Pro 4000 printer
Two ECI 2002 targets were printed one after the other on roll paper 0.43 (4.66)
Long term repeatability of Epson Stylus Pro 4000 printer
Two ECI 2002 targets were printed - 3 weeks apart 0.98 (5.01)
Stability of Epson Stylus Pro 4000 Printer
A single ECI 2002 target was printed and measured – 3 weeks apart 0.39 (1.84)
