Thats got me kind of concerned Steve, its an area to me that in the past has
promised lots but delivered little and I first need to figure how/why
it could alter the output if Im printing from PwPreview and using Adobe CMS.
the way I understand this utility is that:
Preferences give you the option to specify a default profile to a file if
one is missing but only supported by certain apps probably that I don't own.
First Aid self explanatory.
Profiles as above
Devices Here you can assign alternative profile that will act in
place of the registered factory one??
this has always had me a bit confused this one!
Filters At the time I thought this might be the answer to using
colour management from any application. I could never get it right
and don't know anyone else who could either. Quartz filters seem
like a far too complicated route to take to implement user CMS.
I might take a look again at this voodoo stuff tonight. If I end up with
serious brain damage, Im going to delete all my profiles and prefs tomorrow
on both machines and see if that makes any difference.
Thanks for the input,
Pete
