Where do you see that? What does 'returns' mean?
My monitor's horizontal raster dimension is about 16". I have set the
horizontal resolution to 1152 or about 72 PPI (analog screen pixels).
If I open a Photoshop file that is 1152 PPI (digital image pixels) and 16"
wide it just fits the raster, which makes sense. If I open the same image in
Preview same thing, just fits horizontally.
If I switch the monitor resolution to 1344, over the 16" wide raster it's
now 84 PPI. The 16" wide 72 PPI images is now 2+ inches short of fitting
across the screen. If I sample up the resolution of the image to 84 it fits
across the raster again.
With the image at 100% in Photoshop and Actual Size in Preview this is true
for both apps. So what do you do to achieve the "wrong size" in Preview?
