Re: Illustrator & Acrobat

I've just simplified the test and the same problem exists. I'm thinking it
must be an Acrobat setting, but which one ?

Photoshop CS, Illustrator 10 and Acrobat 6, all set to US prepress defaults.

I save an Adobe RGB tiff out of Photoshop (profile embedded) and place it in
to an RGB Illustrator document (not linked)

The Illustrator display matches the Photoshop display.

I now save the Illustrator document as a PDF and embed the Adobe RGB
profile.

When I open the resulting PDF in either Acrobat or Acrobat reader it
displays very wrong, too dark and way too saturated in the yellows.

I've tried to re-produce the appearance by assigning different profiles to
the Adobe RGB original in Photoshop, and can't get it.

If you have a look here http://www.whack.com.au/mismatch/ you'll see the
Photoshop / Illustrator appearance on the left and Acrobat on the right.

Thanks,

David Harradine
