I want to do a custom measurement of an IT8.7/2 target, and am unclear on how much data I need to replace in the original reference file. The original file has the following data format:
SAMPLE_ID XYZ_X XYZ_Y XYZ_Z LAB_L LAB_A LAB_B LAB_C LAB_H STDEV_X STDEV_Y STDEV_Z STDEV_L STDEV_A STDEV_B MEAN_DE STDEV_DE
* Do I need to replace ONLY the LAB_L, LAB_A, LAB_B fields to use it as a reference file in ProfileMaker 5? What's the best way to move that data into the file? (I'm not a frequent Excel user, but do own it.)
* Or am I better off generating a new reference file from scratch? And if so, how do i pick up the format?
* If I were to create a new format from scratch, would there be any advantage to collect the spectral data?
I haven't seen any tutorial delineating the process, either in RWCM or Abhay Sharma's book. (Maybe for the next edition, Bruce?)
