Well, after talking with Eizo tech support and the vendor from whom we
purchased the CG220, I now have a replacement unit which is much more
uniform. The new one is visually and measurably as uniform as the CG21.
Moreover, the deviation that does occur is nearly all luminance, rather
than a hefty delta E value in hue. This was the monitor I was expecting!
I still think the viewing angle is slightly inferior to the CG21, but
not too bad, and of course the gamut is huge.
BTW, I still would like to know if any one has profiled a CG220 that
actually does encompass the entire AdobeRGB space, or at least comes
pretty close as I'm falling short by about 10%. By comparison the CG21
covers all but about 0.1% of SRGB.
So, am I the only one out there who has ever ran dual CG220s? ;-)
...albeit for a short while as the second one ships back today.
