Well lo and behold, if you unplug the USB cable, you should be good to
go
then. That's why the hotkeys didn't work on mine, but the side buttons
did.
So on the newer ACDs, plug in the USB, create your profile to the
desired
brightness, set the options to disable the side buttons and then unplug
the
USB and you should be ok...right? I don't think this would work on the
older ACDs though, as there's no separate USB connection.
