You could always get your old target re-measured, rather than get a
new one (unless it's in poor condition).
Where could I have them re-measured? They are still in good shape
physically.
This is a loaded question but what changes in version 4.7.2 would
make it worthwhile to upgrade Monaco from v3.2? >
There have been some significant improvements in gamut mapping, gray
balance and shadow detail from version 4.6 to 4.7.2, and even more so
from version 3.2, which is waaay old. In fact, if you check out the
WMU Profiling Review 2.0 from 2002
(http://www.wmich.edu/ppse/staff/downloads/), you'll see a comparison
of version 4.0 to version 3.2, and there is a dramatic increase in
quality. It's a great package across the board. You can't edit input
profiles, but the only time I've ever needed this feature is to
address the Kodakchrome issue, and for that I edited in Photoshop.
Other than that, on my end, I just don't see a need to do it.
I personally prefer Monaco generated profiles over Gretag MacBeth's,
but there is a lot of functionality in the Profile Maker package
that's hard to pass up.

Thanks for the info and the link, I'll look further in to updating the
software. Since taking over the department it was something I wanted to
do. They like the philosophy here if it works don't update it.... as
sometimes updates are just different and not necessarily better.
